It is good to know that there are certain pairings for food and wine. They say that they can complement each other or be in contrast with each other. But do not fret because it is okay for food and wine to complement or contrast each other. There is no right or wrong choice, it just depends on your preference. As a general rule, wine experts say that if you want your food and wine to complement each other, choose a light wine to go with a light meal or a wine that tastes rich when you eat a rich serving of food. Or if you want them to contrast, well there are several options to choose from. You can choose a fruity wine paired with a salty dish. There are also dessert wines for your savory meals.
